Fights and Fires

Fights and Fires emerged when two guys from Backwash took a university break. The remaining two, some of Worcesters’ punk/rock collective joined forces and locked themselves away in an old meat refrigeration unit to write some songs.
The result is a stunning six track mini-album of chaotic, melodic hardcore Paying homage to their various influences: At The Drive-In, Rites of Spring, The Bronx, Husker-Du, Planes Mistaken for Stars and others, they have a forceful, thoughtful release of which they are justifiably proud.
‘Will this be my Curse?’ was recorded at The Waiting Room Studios, Worcester by Jim Turner (Tribute To Nothing, Backwash, Klay, Second Monday, Resonate).
The EP has been met with open arms by the press, bands and crowds alike. They have appeared in pretty much every major national magazine and have been played on Kerrang! Radio.
2009 was a busy year full of shows, playing with such greats as: Warship, The Computers, Tribute To Nothing, Glass And Ashes, Outbreak, Outcry Collective, Yashin, Dividing The Line and many many more... The boys have toured across England, Scotland, Wales, Europe all the way into Croatia so are no strangers to hard work.
2010 started well for Fights And Fires. The band headed to Outhouse Studios in Reading to record tracks for a new single/video and a Lockjaw Records Split CD (released: 26th April 2010). With two European tours in 2010, Fights And Fires are looking to return during the Autumn. Keep your eyes peeled for UK/EU dates throughout the Autumn and winter!
